1% EXPECTATION FROM CASE INVESTIGATION

On November 14 at 12:00 p.m. the Kentron and Nork-Marash general jurisdiction court presided by Judge Armen Khachatryan will hear the “Case of the Seven” of the attorney group. The case is against the verdict of prosecutor Koryun Piloyan, who supervised the inquiry of the seven detained in the aftermath of the events of March 1 and 2.

CRIMINAL CASE FORWARDED TO JUDGE KHACHATRYAN

The protest of the advocates’ group against Judge Koryun Piloyan, submitted to the Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash districts earlier this month, has been forwarded to Judge Armen Khachatryan.

SASUN MIKAYELYAN MARKS HIS BIRTHDAY IN JAIL

Armenian parliamentarian Sasun Mikayelyan detained in connection with the March 1 unrest will stay in jail for another two months, by January 8, 2009. The decision has been made by the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan's Kentron and Nork-Marash districts.

Judge of the Criminal Court of Yerevan Eva Darbinyan ratified today the intermediation of attorney Diana Grigoryan to release the defendants due to health problems. Anush had been imprisoned since March 21 of this year and is currently at home after eight months in jail.

YES, MONEY, BUT WHAT ABOUT AIRTIME?

The government finally decided to fulfill the demand of the European Court for Human Rights, at least by the compensation part. The government conceded the equivalent of 30,000 euros in drams to the RA Ministry of Justice with the purpose of fulfilling the requirements of the verdict reached on June 17, 2008 by the European Court for Human Rights on appeal 32283/04 of Armenia against “Meltex” INC and Mesrop Movsesyan.
