SUED FOR A HEAVILY-RIGGED ELECTION
Support A1+!The trial of three chairmen of Ijevan’s three precincts is drawing to an end in First Instance Court of Tavush Marz. They are charged with major violence /intervention with proxies' activity and fabrication of election results/ during a December 16, 2007, election of Ijevan Mayor.
Prosecutor Anna Mantashyan demands that the defendants be sentenced to three years' conditional imprisonment.
The Court is due to announce the verdict on November 11.
