High-ranking officials, including presidents, prime ministers and foreign ministers from over 25 countries participated in the swearing-in ceremony of the Georgian President.

January 14 RA Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian received the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby. The latter is in Armenian on a working visit.

As informs press secretariat of the Court of Cassation, a new judicial system functions in the RA started from 1 January 2008 – Common Jurisdiction Courts of First Instance, Specialized Court, Administrative Court, Appeal Court and Court of Cassation.
