KOCHARYAN IS INTERESTED

Robert Kocharyan received the Head of the observation mission of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Ambassador Geert Hinrich Ahrens.

Pointing out that the country was living in a very responsible period, the President of the Republic prioritized activities of the observation mission.

“We are interested in conducting elections in line with international standards and have done our best to organize the elections properly”, said the President.

He anticipates serious collaboration with the observation mission, whose aim is the conduction of good elections. The President also expressed wish that before registering any information they would examine it in detail.

Ambassador Geert Hinrich Ahrens also hopes for collaboration. He presented briefly activities to be carried out by long-term and short-term observation missions.

Robert Kocharyan also commented on the problems raised by the Head of the ODIHR observation mission.
