8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18-year-old boys and girls will enter into competition during the championship.
Tigran Harutiunian, 10, Hovhannes Gabuzian, 12, Norair Torossian, 12, Samvel Ter-Sahakian, 14, Robert Aghassian, 14, Vahe Baghdasarian, 14, Robert Hovhannissian, 16, David Gevorgian, 16, Avetik Grigorian, 18, Hrant Melkumian, 18, and Hovik Hairapetian, 18, celebrated victory at the first round.
10-year-old Mariam Manukian and 18-year-old Nune Darbinian stood out in the girls’ competition. Manuel Petrossian, 10, Hrant Mejlumian, 10, Arusiak Karkhanian, 16, suffered a defeat while 14-year-old Lusine Torossian and 12-year-old Svetlana Mirzabekian played a tie.
