Tigran Kotanjyan susteains defeat in Iran
Armenian Grandmaster Tigran Kotanjyan performed unwell in the last two rounds of the Fajr International Chess Open Tournament in Tabriz, Iran.
Kotanjyan lost to Georgia's Gayoz Nigalidze and Shota Azaladze in rounds 7 and 8, thus dropping to the 11th position.
Currently, the Armenian GM has 5,5 points and is 15 points behind the leader Ghaem Maghami (Iran) with 15 points.
In the 8th round on Wednesday, Kotanjyan will face Iran's Morteza Asgari.
