Road to school is dangerous
The breast wall on the road leading to school N10 in Kapan collapsed several months ago and is cracking day after day. The rocks are starting to fall along with the landslide.
The school administration is concerned since there are no measures being taken to repair the breast wall.
School principal Artur Hakobyan says the wall will completely collapse one day after the rainfall. The foundations of the breast wall will be destroyed and will damage the gas tubes passing through that sector.
The renovation of the breast wall has turned into a disputed issue at the municipality and the regional council. According to Artur Hakobyan, the regional council says that territory belongs to the community and the municipality should consider renovation.
The issue has been raised several times by the council of elders, but the school principal says he only hears promises. Member of the council of elders Khoren Harutyunyan informed that the plan for the construction of a 54 meter concrete back wall is ready, but there is still a lack of the 6 million drams needed for construction.
