Despite the hot weather, the number of emergency ambulance calls has not increased in Yerevan. The service has received 3580 calls since July 1.

"Thirty-two people lost consciousness in the given period but none of the cases was connected with the heat. The reason is poor nutrition and inadequate fluid intake,," head of the Yerevan Ambulance Service Taguhi Stepanyan told a press conference today.

Chief specialist of State Department for Anti-epidemiology and Hygiene at RA Ministry of Health, Liana Torosyan advises citizens not to go out between 12 and 5. However, if it is urgent, they should wear hats, sunglasses, cotton clothes and drink three liters of liquid a day.
