WILL KIRKOROV RENDER PRESS CONFERENCE?
Support A1+!Philip Kirkorov agreed to give concerts in Yerevan almost without honorarium, the arrangers of the concert tour, David Manukyan LTD administration stated at today’s press conference.
When replying to the question why the tickets are so expensive, the arrangers said that the city administration will receive a profit from the concerts and the sum will be conveyed to the Yerevan Foundation. To remind, the tickets for the concert in the Sports and Concert Complex cost 10-15 thousand drams and in for the concert in Nor Dzoraberd - $80-150. To note, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Arman Sahakyan stated that Kirkorov was invited not by the city administration but by the Manukyan LTD.
“We did not intend to give a press conference and did not expect such a wave of hysteria”, press secretary of the Manukyan company Termine Ayrumyan said. Ms. Ayrumiyan, who considers herself to be a patriot, does not understand why «people tear expensive advertisement bills and organizing protest actions. Is a singer who performed at the same stage with Celine Dion and Mariah Carey worth such attitude? »
«How can a man, who is ashamed that he is Armenian, who has a repertoire of Turkish songs and who outraged a journalist of Armenian origin be considered an Armenian? » With these words one of the journalists called to boycott the concerts.
Hardly able to resist, Ms. Ayrumyan stated, “The concert will take place as the 30% of the tickets has been already sold. It is true that Philip sang Turkish songs four years ago. But it is show business. He confessed he acted thoughtless”. It was suggested that Kirkorov should give a press conference himself and answer all the questions after what his concert can take place.
