H. Bagratyan: Bangladesh may recognize the Armenian Genocide
The Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction lawmaker Hrant Bagratyan writes on Facebook: “Yesterday in the form of a legislative initiative I submitted a draft law on “Recognizing the massacres of Bengalis committed by Pakistani army in Bangladesh in 1971 as genocide” to the NA discussion. During that time up to 3 million Bengalis were killed.” Bagratyan adds that at the same time there is hope that Bangladesh will become the first Sunni Muslim country to recognize the Armenian Genocide.
