A DISCUSSION ON THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN THE AMERICAN PRESS
The Armenian Genocide continues to be the key issue of the American press. An editorial referring to the Armenian Genocide was published in the “New York Times” on May 17, 2005 critisizing the Turkish refuting policy which puts the issue of the Turkey integration in the European Union in question.
CIS TO REVIVE?
On June 1-2 in Tsakhkadzor in the House of Writers a scientific-practical conference will take place titled «CIS as a new structure of cooperation between the states: achievements and perspectives of development».
RA REPRESENTATIVE WAS ELECTED DEPUTY CHAIRMAN
Emin Eritsyan, head of the Armenian delegation was elected the deputy chairman of the European Council Congress and a member of the Bureau on the first day of the 13th session of the Congress of the European Council regional and local authorities.

OSKANYAN WILL LEAVE FOR KAZAKHSTAN
RA Foreign Minister Vardan Osdkanyan will leave for Kazakhstan on two-day official visit on May 31.
RA DELEGATION WON’T LEAVE FOR BAKU
RA Ministry of Defense made an announcement today in which it was stated that RA delegation will not leave for Baku and won’t participate in the session of the CIS Defense Ministers’ Council because of the lack of security guarantees.
ARMENIAN SOLDIER DIED
As a result of the violation of ceasefire by the Azerbaijani side a periodic serviceman of the Armenian army died on Saturday. According to the press statement of the RA Ministry of Defense on May 27 at about 09:30 PM the Azeri side opened fire in the direction of the Armenian forces.

A session of the government heads of the CIS member countries was convened this morning in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe. RA Prime Minister Andranik Margaryn also participated in the session.

ANOTHER MINISTER DISMISSED
By the decree of President Robert Kocharyan Gevorg Gevorgyan has been dismissed from the post of the RA Minister of Culture. By another decree Hasmik Poghosyan has been appointed instead.
ULP REPLACING OYP?
By the redicion of RA Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan Tamara Gevoryan has been appointed deputy Minister of Labor and Social Issues. Ashot Petrosyan has been appointed deputy governor of the Shirak region.
SIMMONS TO COME TO YEREVAN
On May 18-19 the NATO international team was in Yerevan. The aim of the visit was to give assessment to the realization process of the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) Armenia-NATO. The main discussions during the two-day work of the NATO representatives with the RA IPI Committee were about the events planned for the realization of the IPAP and their realization.

By the decision of RA Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan Norayr Ghoukasyan has been dismissed from the post of RA deputy Minister of Education and Science.
BAGRAT YESAYAN DISMISSED
By the May 19 decree of Robert Kocharyan Bagrat Yesayan has been dismissed from the post of the RA President's advisor.
HEADING FOR LONDON
On May 21-22 the 15th annual meeting of the managers of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will take place in London. The official delegation of Armenia with RA Minister of Finance and Economy Vardan Khachatryan at the head will also participate in the meeting. The Minister is also the Armenian manager of the EBRD.
