RA DELEGATION WON’T LEAVE FOR BAKU
Support A1+!RA Ministry of Defense made an announcement today in which it was stated that RA delegation will not leave for Baku and won’t participate in the session of the CIS Defense Ministers’ Council because of the lack of security guarantees.
“Taking into consideration the fact that the Secretariat of the CIS Defense Ministers’ Council couldn’t get guarantees from the Azeri authorities to ensure the security of the RA Defense Ministry delegation, it was decided that the RA delegation will not participate in the above mentioned session of the CIS Defense Ministers’ Council which will be held in Baku on May 31. The Armenian side released a letter to the Secretariat of the CIS Defense Ministers’ Council about their decision.”
This fact once more testifies that Azerbaijan is incapable to implement its liabilities and responsibilities in ensuring the security of the participants of the international session organized in its territory. The Secretariat of the CIS Defense Ministers’ Council is, in its turn, liable to provide equal conditions of participation for all the CIS member countries that will participate in the session. We look forward to the official reaction of the CIS Defense Ministers’ Council in this context,” the announcement said.
