Snowing in Syunik too
It is still snowing in Syunik province after the heavy snowfall this morning.
Separate sections of the Yerevan-Meghri interstate highway are difficult to pass due to the snowfall and the icy road. However, Head of the Department of Road Construction and Transportation at the Syunik regional council Sarik Aghabekyan says all roads are open. There is 25-30 centimeters of snow in the Meghri and Sisyan sector.
The communal service started working at 8 in the morning to keep the roads passable in Kapan after the heavy snowfall last night. The road to Shinararner district was cleaned, salt and sand were poured on the bridges for pedestrians and the sidewalks near the bridges. A total of 2 tons of salt were poured in Kapan today.
Three million drams has been allocated for preparations for the winter.
