The Children’s and Youth Film Festival kicked off
The 6th Children's and Youth Films International Festival kicked off in Yerevan.
As festival organizer, President of the "Rolan Bikov" Foundation Nune Manukyan mentioned, the festival is not only cultural, but social and educational as well.
"We are working with orphanages in different regions of the country. We have distributed free tickets to schools and organizations where there are children of socially insecure families to let those children know what it means to watch films on the big screen," the president of the foundation told "A1+".
Advanced students of Yerevan schools have been selected as jury members.
Hayarpi Simonyan is a student of School N55 after Chekhov and is a member of the jury of feature and animation films. "I attend a theater club because I consider myself an art person," said the student.
The opening ceremony of the festival was held at Charles Aznavour Square in Yerevan and was followed by a concert with performances by Zaruhi Babayan, Alla Levonyan, Hayk Petrosyan, Eva Ghazaryan and children's choirs and dance ensembles.
