10 days instead of 14
The global financial crisis has greatly affected the programs of Alaverdi's Manes Charity Fund. Financing of some programmes has been suspended. Anyway, the Board of Trustees has decided to implement the most important ones, including that of summer camps.
The Fund will allot 7 million drams for this purpose. Lat year the sum amounted to 10 million drams.
Fund's CEO Avet Tamazian says the duration of shifts has also been curtailed. Instead of the previous two months children will spend 10 days in camps. Some 1140 children will be given food to the amount of 300 drams a day.
The camps will operate at nine local schools from July 1 to July 23. Preference will be given to children from socially vulnerable families.
