Final concert at Carnegie Hall
Thirteen musicians and two choirs participated in a competition held in Armenian schools of New York and New Jersey.
The competition was organized by Dr. Svetlana Amirkhanian, founder of the Armenian Youth Cultural Organization (AYCO).
The final concert took place in New York's Carnegie Hall. Tigran Dumanyan (piano), Eugenia Saryan, Any Madatyan, Ariana Mesropyan and many others participated at the competition.
The young musicians were granted honorary and monetary awards by American Armenian celebrated musician Shahan Artsrun and Opera Soloist Lusin Amara.
The competition was attended by Mariana Baghdasarova, headmistress of Brooklyn's Armenian school and noted conductor Vagharshak Ohanyan.
The participants were congratulated by Armen Martirossian, Armenia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Nations Organization.
