WHERE ARE ARMENIAN INVENTORS?
Support A1+!5808 inventions for various fields were introduced and patented by Armenian inventors during 10 recent years of USSR. Armenia was the 6-th under those indices among USSR states. Armenia has lost its place on that matter. The main reason for the situation at present is that many of Armenian specialists, scientists, spread activity abroad because of indifferent attitude of the state .
One of the numerous obstacles are omissions in the “Law on Intellectual Property”. Foreign inventors as well find difficulty in working in Armenia. Hayartonagir /”Agency of Mental Property” at present/, formed since 1992, registered more than 400 inventions from foreign applicants. Foreign inventors don’t want to come up with inventions in Armenia, either .
The decision was greatly influenced by the fact the “Law on State Tax” came into force 7 years ago. Under it, rate of interests of state taxes increased by 40.
”Eurasia” Fund decided to carry out a credit program to support scientists in Armenia. 5 companies were recognised as winners of the program and they’ll be obliged to assist inventors, receiving credit of 25-30.000 $ each .
Program authors are sure first it is necessary that our inventors learn to introduce their inventions both in Armenia and abroad in due course.
