Conductor Facundo Agudi from Argentina expresses his joy and excitement about being in Armenia and working with National Opera and Ballet Theatre after A. Spendiaryan. “I”ll be the best,” the conductor promises.

Agudi will conduct the concert of Mozart’s “Magic Flute” opera devoted to the 250th anniversary of the prominent composer. The staging of the opera will take place a few months later, in May and June, under his guidance. Soloists from Armenia and Europe will participate in the staging, the producer will be from Germany, the stage illustration designer - from Israel and the clothes designer - from Switzerland.

The spectacle will also have DVD versions and will be broadcast in Armenia and in a number of European countries. This project is realized by Armenian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, Orchestre Symphonique du Jura (Switzerland), Festival Musique des Lumieres (Switzerland) and the music centre “Kadans.” By the way, Agudin wants the pupils of the capital to be present at the concert on 18 March. According to the chief administrator of the theatre they gave the tickets to the City Hall’s Education department for distribution.

During today’s press conference the art manager of the theatre Gegham Grigoryan also declared that “there is an excellent group of singers in the theatre,” three “handsome and talented” candidates for the part of Don Juan. “If there is only one, the spectacle is postponed in case he catches a cold,”he says. Mozart’s “Don Juan” is one of the 3-4 operas which are to be staged in Yerevan this year. The conductor of the theatre Karen Durgaryan told “A1+” that they consider the staging of “Arshak II” a matter of honour for them. As the staging of the opera is connected with high expenditures K. Durgaryan says that some of the anticipated spectacles will merely be concerts.
