VLADIMIR HOVHANNISYAN:'' THE MORE WE ARE BROUGHT ACTIONS AGAINST THE BETTER''

Today the Constitutional Court discussed the point whether the obligatories stated in the 1st, 4th and 7th protocols by the Europe Convention of '' Human Rights and Basic Freedom Defence'' statements are suitable to the Constitution of Armenia. The Convention by the Armenian side was sighned by the MInister of Foreign Affairs Vardan Oskanyan in Strassburg on the 25 January last year.

The European Court of Human Rights was established to control each country obligatories carrying out. If the country ignores the Court decisions punishments can be put into action.

The Justice Minister assured the Government will do its best to help everyone to appeal to the Court.

The Constitutional Court vice-chairman Vladibir Hovhannisyan said:'' The more we are brought actions against the better, the more our country succeeds the more the Democracy will strengthen''.

The Constitutional Court decided that the Convention and protocols fit for the Armenian Constitution.
