Protest action. Members of Armenian Association of Blind: We demand the resignation of whole presidential staff! (video)
91-year-old president of the Armenian Association of Blind Abel Hakobyan has resigned, but members of the union continue to protest. They resumed a protest action this morning demanding the resignation of the entire presidential staff. "There is a 'stagnation' in the presidential staff because the president resigned, but the average age of the current leadership is 80 and over. That is to say they are unable to work, even at this age," says Parnavt Revazyan, member of the union. Members of the association complain that the union does not initiate anything for people with visual problems. Sipan Asatryan, a member of the association, says: "The Armenian Association of Blind has not fulfilled any international cooperation with the Europe or the global unity of the blinds. Do not we have resources to go and learn, to participate in the exchange of experiences?" The protesters gave 24 hours to the Presidential staff to resign, after which the issue of organizing snap elections was discussed.
