This is the point of view of the head of the migration service Armen Kazaryan, expressed during the forum on repatriation and reintegration, which was held today within the framework of the Program of Measures Ensuring the Effective Implementation of the RA Migration Policy Strategy in 2017-2021. "We can have programs of separately developed actions for only recognized returning refugees, Syrian-Armenians, this is a good solution for effective organization of the process," he said. The three-month forum, which is a platform for cooperation between organizations involved in the reintegration of repatriates, is open to membership. According to the agenda of the meeting, the participating organizations presented their programs and results. The French-Armenian Development Fund (FFMS) has helped over 1800 voluntary repatriates, through social assistance, retraining and business training, during its activities. "In the first quarter of this year, we have 123 repatriates, during this period we created 12 enterprises," said Arpine Stepanyan, coordinator of the FFMS programs. The Armenian mission of the International Migration Organization (IMO) is the only one organizing a purposeful return and cares for migrants before departure, during departure and at the stage of integration. "Throughout 2017, we had 780 repatriates," Karine Khodzhoyan noted, indicating the sectors of employment most interested in migrants. "Greenhouse farms, livestock, and often taxis and hairdressing, in which case the daily income is noticeable," she said. Integration of about 400 voluntary and forced migrants in two years will help the International Center for the Development of Migration Policy (ICMPD), under the new program, which will begin in September-October.
