LIVE: Armenian parliament starts debate on government program (video)

The National Assembly is debating on Wednesday the five-year plan of actions submitted by the government led by Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan. In the 100-page document, the government pledges to ensure sustainable development from 2017 to 2022. The ruling party has already presented the priorities of the program in terms of economic growth, unemployment, the minimum wage and export volumes. In particular, the government promises to ensure an average annual GDP growth of around 5 percent, minimum wage by 25 percent, 25 percent increase in minimum wage and poverty reduction by 25 percent.
