Paruyr Hayrikyan on Sefilyan's arrest: How long can they play this childish game?
Leader of the Union for National Self-Determination (AIM), Paruyr Hayrikyan does not want to assess the detention of Jirayr Sefilyan, a member of the Founding Parliament movement. “I shall speak about it when Sefilyan is placed under arrest. It is too early to speak about the incident now,” Mr Hayrikyan told A1+. “I am against pre-trial custody when a person is deprived of liberty before the trial. How long can they play this childish game? How many times can a person appear behind the bars for acquiring illegal weapons?” he added. Jirayr Sefilyan was arrested in the morning for organizing purchase and transportation of illegal arms and ammunition by a group of people.
