Serzh Sargsyan’s statement that we lost only 800 hectares of land in the April clashes in Artsakh speaks to the fact that we continue to retreat, Armenian lawmaker Zaruhi Postanjyan said during the parliamentary briefings on May 20. “There has been treason: the advancement of our armed forces was stopped and now they come and announce that that we lost 800 hectares of land but none of the lost territories was important strategically or tactically. The responsibility of the failure lies on Serzh Sargsyan. Our servicemen thwarted the traitor’s plans to hand over territories [to Azerbaijan]. Serzh Sargsyan continues to remain the most serious threat to our country and its people because territorial concession is part of his policy. In addition to the lost territories we have also lost a village. We have lost our security, which has made us vulnerable,” she said.
