A Facebook initiative calling itself “Baghramyan is ours” says citizens protesting the electricity price rise in Armenia will gather at Liberty Square in Yerevan at 7.00 pm.

The activist said the police cannot stop them from continuing their struggle and reiterated that their demands remain the same.

Armenian lawmaker Zaruhi Postanjyan and political analyst Andrias Ghukasyan were with the group. About 30 activists are now waiting at the square for their friends taken to police stations from Baghramyan Avenue.

Talking to journalists gathered outside the building, Shushanyan said he had been neither interrogated not charged with an offence.

Scores of citizens have been taken to police stations from the avenue in the result of police actions.

“Come and film everything! See what is going on here,” a woman shouted.

“Mr Ospiyan, do not dictate us,” one of the protesters shouted in reply.

“We shall help you to move the property to Liberty Square,” Mr Poghosyan said adding that protesters seem to be depreciating their struggle.
