Journalists in closed Baghramyan Avenue (video)
During the days, when Baghramyan Avenue was closed, together with the protesters journalists and cameramen cleaned and watched the so called buffer zone allocated to them. The media worked with shifts, some of them spent nights on the avenue. A number of media delivered live streaming constantly during 14 days, which was hard especially late at night. Sisak Gabrielyan found a solution- during this period he was finishing reading the second book of detective genre. In order to ensure unobstructed live streaming the cameramen came to Baghramyan Avenue with lots of batteries, though very often the residents of the nearby buildings reached out to them. In the buffer zone between the barricades erected with garbage bins by the policemen and the protesters besides the journalists, stood the living wall of lawmakers and intellectuals. “Heritage” faction secretary, who was a participant of the living wall, followed the work of the journalists. The dawn of June 23 was especially hard for the journalists. During the operation of the Police on Baghramyan Avenue at dawn of June 23 about a dozen of journalists, cameramen, photographers were attacked. The preliminary investigation of the criminal case instituted in the SIS in connection with this case is underway.
