Police pressures against protesters (video)
Public figure Davit Sanasaryan, who has been holding hunger strike for 3 days within the framework of the struggle against electricity price increase, short time ago announced that he continues the hunger strike and there are no clear terms how long he will continue. Other 4 activists, who joined him a day ago, stopped the hunger strike. Davit Sanasaryan also noted that the Police put pressure on the members of the coordinating group of the movement: he says the policemen, learning the personal data of those people, visit their flats, in the presence of other family members they [the policemen] urge to refrain from participating in the rallies and not to take to the streets. Davit Sanasaryan considers it to be a step implemented by the authorities in order to weaken the movement. Today in the morning, as Sanasaryan noted, Yerevan deputy Police Chief Valeri Osipyan approached him, urged to stop the hunger strike and choose another way of struggle. To remind, today at 19:00 illuminating rally will be held, which may be followed by a march.
