CO-CHAIRS WILL NOT LEAVE FOR KARABAKH
The visit of the OSCE Minsk group co-chairs to Karabakh was postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions. The co-chairs intended to leave for Karabakh by helicopter tomorrow.
5 ARMENIAN AND 5 ROMANIAN BUSINESSMEN ARE NEEDED
“Romania will support Armenia to get closed to the EU as it proceeds not only from your interests, but from our as well”, Romanian President Trayan Basesku told a joint news conference today. MONITORING AFTER THE UN RESOLUTION

KURDS DECLARED CEASE-FIRE
From October 1 the Union of Kurdistan Organizations declared cease-fire calling on the Turkish authorities «to give up their attempts to solve the problem by force and to start negotiations».

The OSCE Minsk group has not finished its work, claim the Co-Chairs. Today they announced that the Armenian and Azeri Foreign Ministers will meet in Moscow on October 6.

Today Vahan Hovhannesyan, NA deputy speaker referred to the Russian-Georgian relations and the difficulties Armenia might face in case the Russian-Georgian antagonism deepens. He said, «I think this is not the first case when Russia ignores the Armenian interests. They expect a comprehensive approach by us. But I cannot understand their position as in my opinion Russia, our military partner, willingly or unwillingly, joins Armenia's blockade».

Today almost all the members of the Republican Party came to the National Assembly to provide the voting of the issues discussed during the previous sitting. Nevertheless, the party members failed to provide voting for two disputable draft laws. Namely, the amendments to the law on “Television and Radio” were voted down
“LET THE STUBBORN GROUPS WORK AND NOT MAKE REQUIREMENTS”
Today the Parliament did not put the RA draft law on «Amendments to the Regulations of the National Commission on Television and Radio» to vote. Tigran Torosyan called on the “«stubborn groups» not to complain and to demand to take back the draft but to make clear-cut suggestions.
THE EU WILL FOLLOW THE COURSE OF RA ELECTIONS
«Karabakh has not been mentioned in the document», announced Finnish Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja during the joint press conference with the EU Troika. The members of the EU Troika and the RA Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan announced about the successful completion of the consultations about the Individual Partnership Action Plan of the European Neighborhood Policy.
THE DEPUTIES WERE AGAINST
During the first sitting of the NA plenary session the deputies did not manage to adopt an agenda as they had many questions, and the NA Speaker answered all the questions in every detail. The questions mainly referred to the disputable issues of the agenda – the RA draft Law on «Alienation of property for state and public needs», and the RA draft Law on «Amendments to the Regulations of the National Commission on Television and Radio».
GEORGIA IN BLOCKADE
Russia stops air, land, sea, railway and postal communication with Georgia, Russian Ministry of Transportation informs. The ban immediately followed the announcement of Georgia according to which they intend to give the four Russian officers who are suspected in espionage to the representatives of OSCE. The officers were arrested last week.
CO-CHAIRS IN BAKU
Today the OSCE Minsk group co-chairs met President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev in Baku. According to agency «Trend», the sides discussed the main principles of the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, the present situation and the perspectives of the negotiations.

This morning NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs discussed the RA draft Law on “Alienation of property for state and public needs”. Of all the members of the Committee only the oppositional deputies and member of the People’s Deputy faction Hakob Hakobyan were interested in the discussion of the issue.

The residents of the “reconstruction zones” of the capital who have been deprived of their houses due to “state needs” arrived at the National Assembly building earlier than the deputies. PACE SITTING TO START
The fall sitting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is to start today in Strasbourg. The delegation of the RA National Assembly, with Speaker Tigran Torosyan at the head, will participate in it.
FRENCH PRESIDENT IS IN ARMENIA
French President Jacques Chirac has already arrived in Yerevan. Robert Kocharyan and other high officials met him in airport «Zvartnots». The official ceremony of meeting took place, and the anthems of both countries sounded.
CSTO TURNED TO GEORGIA
According to the statement of the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the members of the Organization have called on Georgia to set free the Russian soldiers who have been arrested in Georgia lately.
