Support A1+!On September 20 a three-year-old child was taken to Charentsavan hospital where he died three hours later. According to our preliminary data, the death was caused by intestinal infection.
The child’s parents told the doctor that the boy had eaten different things the previous day. The child was in coma whereas they thought he was sleeping.
The infectious department of the hospital has got 26 patients within the past two weeks and most of them are 3 – 10-year-old children. «The disease resembles a lightening: the child's organism becomes waterless and he has a high temperature», says Doctor Arshalous Badalyan.
The symptoms are the same; weakness, high temperature and diarrhea. In Arshalous Badalyan's words there are various pathogene of the intestinal infection. The main source can be either food or water. It is even mentioned in the medical literature that the disease can be caused by dirty toys. The head of the hospital claims that the revelation of the causes is beyond their liabilities.
Norair Zohrabyan, deputy head of the Kotayk Anti-Epidemic Board says that the survey is still under way and the source hasn’t been revealed yet.
