“The members of the Republican Party give 30 thousand AMD to the district militia officer to collect passports in Kentron District. One can come across this phenomenon in Shengavit and Erebouni districts as well”, Arthur Baghdasaryan, leader of the OYP, announced today. He urged the authorities to prevent this phenomenon and halt passport collection.

Official Baku turned down yesterday’s suggestion made by Peter Semneby, EU special representative in South Caucasus. The Ministry of Foreign of Baku replied that adoption of relationships with Nagorno Karabakh was impossible.

Babken Ararktsyan, member to the Karabakh Committee made active speeches in Freedom Square 19 years ago. He was in the square today standing on the platform but he didn’t make any speeches this time.

Union for National Self-Determination, headed by Paruyr Hayrikyan, might not participate in the NA elections on May 12. Mr. Hayrikyan claims they are unwilling to take part in a “souteneur campaign”, whereas “parliamentary elections” are already held.

Today the Compulsory Executive Offices broke down the doors of the Constitutional Rights Union’s office. Hrant Khachatryan, the founder of CRU finally, had access to the office but to everybody's surprise there was nobody in. Their surprise was determined by Hayk Babukhanyan's announcement when he said that they wouldn't let Hrant Khachatryan in.

It became known from the sitting of the «Prosperous Armenia» Party that Viktor Dallakyan and Tatoul Manaseryan are not members of the party.

Deputies quit the OYP one after another. Today we learnt that Gagik Mkheyan, RA deputy and ex leader of the commission on social, health and the environment issues, quitted the party.

On February 20, the RA NA convened a plenary session and endorsed the packet on “Dual Citizenship” with 64 votes for, 6 votes against and no abstentions.

Leader of National Democratic Union Arshak Sadoyan may send a letter to “New York Times” or to another famous newspaper in order to show the double criteria applied the organizations preaching democracy in democratic countries, in case the international organizations refuse to buy air time, giving the RA political powers “represent the importance of free and fair elections to the RA citizens on the Eve of the Parliamentary elections”.

Tomorrow a protest action will be held in the office of Constitutional Right Union. Newspaper “Iravounk” will not be published. The reason, according to CRU President Hayk Baboukhanyan, is the threats to the party and the editorial office.
