DEPUTIES ABANDON OYP
Support A1+!Deputies quit the OYP one after another. Today we learned that Gagik Mkheyan, RA deputy and ex leader of the commission on social, health and the environment issues, quited the party.
Gagik Mkheyan affirmed the rumors but didn’t reveal the details. When asked the question whether he was going to join Tigran Karapetyan, leader of Democratic Party, Mr. Mkheyan said that he hadn’t decided yet and promised to inform us as soon as he made a final decision. By the way, he didn’t exclude the possibility of running for the upcoming elections by the majority system.
As far as we know, Samvel Balasanyan, leader of the faction is also going to leave the faction. The latter didn’t attend the NA today and we failed to find out anything.
Other members of the party only spoke for themselves. For instance, Vram Gyurzadyan, informed us that he wasn’t going to abandon the faction. Gagik Avetyan claims he will stick to his principles as he has been in the OYP since 2001.
It doesn’t matter for Mr. Avetyan whether he will appear in the proportional list or not; he will back up the OYP in any case and preach the party’s ideology.
