SPECIAL SESSION TOOK PLACE
Support A1+!No voting was bound to take place in the RA NA special session as quorum was not secured: there were only 54 deputies present at the session. Leader of «People's Deputy» Karen Karapetyan took 20 minutes out, and the Republican faction started to 'invite' all its deputies to the Parliament. 20 minutes later there were already 85 deputies in the hall. Soon all the drafts were adopted.
The only exception was the draft on amendments to the RA Law on Television and Radio and the Regulations of the National Committee on Television and Radio. First it wasn’t adopted (65 deputies voted against it). About ten minutes later a second voting took place after which the draft was adopted getting 72 votes for and only 2 against.
“We worked well after a break of 20 minutes. Thank you”, said NA Speaker Tigran Torosyan. The deputies who had gathered in the Parliament for 30 minutes left the hall in about 30 seconds.
