Residents of about 11 Yerevan districts held a protest action in front of the RA Government Building today. They demanded from the Government and from Serge Sargsyan to re-establish their property rights on houses and on occupied territories.

RoA Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan, the leader of the Republican Party, bids for presidency. “My approach is positive. The election showed that Republicans enjoy vote of confidence. If the party puts forward my candidature, I will certainly run in the 2008 presidential election,” Serge Sargsyan said. The Prime Minister does not think there will be an early presidential election in Armenia.

Vazgen Manukyan, the leader of the National Democratic Union (NDU), will put forward his candidature for the 2008 presidential elections, though he hasn't run in the parliament elections.

Today at 12:00 p.m., the RoA National Assembly was provided with quorum. Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan presented the government program. It is noteworthy that the former program has undergone no changes. Gourgen Arsenyan, the leader of the United Labour Party (ULP), made an addressing speech and thanked the government members for joint collaboration and partnership.
