COMMISSION TO INVESTIGATE 1 MARCH EVENTS
On June 19 Member of Parliament Samvel Nikoyan conducted the meeting of the interim commission formed to investigate the events of March 1 and their consequences. The committee voted for the principle of inviting non-parliamentary representatives to participate in the activities of the commission with advisory rights and made the list of the participants.
HAYK HARUTYUNIAN TO TAKE GRIGORI SARKISSIAN’S POSITION
On June 18 Serzh Sargssian signed a decree on appointing Hayk Harutyunian head of the State Officials Protection Service. Hayk Harutyunian is the former RA Chief of Police. The position of the head of State Officials Protection Service had been vacant since May 27, when Grigori Sarkissian was relieved of this post.
