LARISA ALAVERDIAN TO PARTAKE IN COMMISSION SESSIONS
Support A1+!Today RA Defence Minister Seyran Ohanian conducted a committee session on captured and missing soldiers, as well as those held hostage during Nagorno-Karabakh war.
At the beginning of the session Seyran Ohanian introduced newly-appointed Deputy Head of the commission, General Assistant to the RA Chief of Police, Major General Armen Yeritsian.
The commission also discussed Chairwoman of the NGO “Against Legal Arbitrariness” Larisa Alaverdian’s application to partake in the commission sessions. The commission voted for the application.
The committee further discussed the issue of the video material, recently circulating in the internet sites, concerning the 72 Karabakh War veterans, who were considered to have been missing since 1992 in Martakert Region, NKR. Generals Arkadi Ter-Tadevossian, Artush Harutyunian, Astvatsatur Petrossian, as well as Commander of the “Arabo” squad Manvel Yeghiazarian, who participated in the 1992 military actions in Martakert Region, presented their reports on the works their had recently completed over the issue.
The committee decided to form a work team to be sent to Martakert Region on the mission to obtain additional information about the missing veterans by searching and examining the site.
