The Holy Martyrs Church School in New York celebrated its 45th anniversary. The school was established in 1967 by Sarah Dadurian and first opened its doors to eight students. Currently, there are 80 students enrolled at the school.

Throughout the past 45 years, the school has had 300 graduates. The courses are held in Armenian and English. Children finish their studies in the 6th grade and go on to continue their studies at American schools.

The school's first benefactors were Suren Alalemejian, Dadur Dadurian, Suren Fesjian, Eduard and Barbara Peters, George Balian, Zareh Shahinian, Benjamin Soghigian, Jack Kevorkian and others.

On January 28, a classical music evening dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the school was held at the Holy Martyrs Church.

The event was attended by RA Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Karen Nazaryan.
