Member of House of Representatives of Australia Tim Wilson raised the issue of the cultural genocide committed against Armenians by the Ottoman Empire, reports “Armenpress”. In his speech Wilson said during the years of the Armenian Genocide except massacring Armenians, attempt was also made to destroy the Armenian culture. “It was a deliberate attempt to not just remove Armenians, but also their memory by destroying the Armenian heritage and culture, such as art works and architecture.
