“The indignation of our society is quite understandable. The reaction of Armenia and other countries, as well as human rights organizations and influential media organizations is in line with it,” Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said in the National Assembly when commenting on the extradition of blogger Alexandr Lapshin to Azerbaijan. “Why is Azerbaijan taking such actions? You say that it is not within the interests of the country [Azerbaijan] when people visit Nagorno Karabakh. Perhaps, this was, first of all, for that reason. Everyone understood it though Laphsin’s handover was explained and interpreted in another way. But Baku's blacklist of people who have been declared ‘personae non gratae’ which includes names of prominent figures, government officials, foreign ministers, already speaks for itself,” Minister Nalbandian said in reply to a question by lawmaker Ruben Hakobyan.
