On November 20 the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations moderated by Artak Zakaryan continued the work of the next sitting convened on the previous day. The deputies debated the bill “On Amending the RA law on Holidays and Memorial Days of the Republic of Armenia” authored by the RA NA deputy Zaruhi Postanjyan. As a result of debates, it has become clear that though the Committee has positive attitude towards the bill, nevertheless the author decided to remove the bill from the circulation. Then the MPs debated the bill “On Condemning the Genocide of the Pontic Greeks, Assyrians, Yezids and Other Nations in the Ottoman Empire” authored by the RA NA deputy Zaruhi Postanjyan. During the debates the author proposed the Committee to observe the abovementioned bill and debate as an RA NA draft statement with some editions. The members of the Committee, in general, not being against the idea of the initiative, unanimously proposed the author to jointly work and amend some formulations in the draft law.
