NAGHDALYAN WILL MAKE A REPORT ABOUT POVERTY OF WOMEN
The issue about the situation of women in Armenia will probably be heard in the next PACE session. But it will be represented not separately, but as part of the report discussing the situation of women in South Caucasus. According to Hermine Naghdalyan, member of the Armenian delegation to PACE, in this connection the situation is not very different in the three South Caucasian countries.

The PACE deputies are preparing for a campaign. The youth campaign “All are different, all are equal” will initiate in Strasbourg on June 29. Terry Devis, CoE Secretary General invited the deputies to participate in it. A SEVERE SLAP FOR THE AZERI SIDE
“It is nonsense,” qualified Tigran Torosyan, RA NA Speaker, head of the Armenian delegation to the PACE referring to Azeri delegate Hajiev’s questions in connection with the disputed burnt areas by the Armenian side. According to Torosyan they arouse negative emotions among the deputies.
KARABAKH WILL GUARANTEE
The delegation of the PACE sub-committee on cultural affairs was expected to visit the region in late May or in early June must the visit was postponed. The visit will probably take place in autumn, Stepan Demirchyan, member of the Armenian delegation to PACE and leader of the party “Justice” informed.

IT’S STILL TOO EARLY TO DREAM OF QUITTING THE MONITORING PHASE
“Monitoring can’t stop until Armenia and Azerbaijan have settled the conflict”, René van der Linden, PACE President told the “A1+” correspondent. According to him, this is a problematic issue not only for the CoE, but also for the other international structures.
PACE SESSION HASN’T STARTED YET
PACE summer session will start at 06:00 PM sharp Yerevan time. Right away it is very quiet in the session hall. The Parliamentarians are participating in the sessions of the groups. Our deputies too are participating in the meetings which can last more than four hours.
ARMENIAN-GEORGIAN BORDER ENHANCED
By the decision of the Georgian borders protection department the number of the border points in the Georgian part of the Armenian-Georgian border has been increased. A new point has been opened in the village of Kalinino, region Ninotsminda.
PACE SESSION TO CONVENE
On June 26-30 the PACE summer session will convene in Strasbourg. During the session no issues directly connected with Armenia will be discussed. Nevertheless, the name of our country will be mentioned during the discussions of other issues, namely, the freedom of speech in the member-countries of the PACE or the questions to the Prime Minister of Turkey.
