Zero dram provided for staging "Tigran the Great" opera (video)

About forty operas dedicated to the Armenian King Tigran the Great have been written and some of them were composed by genious composers such as Vivaldi, Handel, and Gluck.

According to Gagik Manasyan, director of the Armenian State Philharmonic, it is a shame that none of these operas has ever been staged in the homeland of Tigran the Great-Armenia.

Gagik Manasyan has decided to "correct" the situation and stage Johann Adolf Hassey's "Tigran the Great" opera.

He is convinced that this opera will give Armenians an opportunity to ponder how and why they lost "Armenia, from sea to sea," re-evaluating the past and present.

Asked by A1+ what funding sources they expect, director Georgy Isahakyan responded that the important thing is the idea. The financial problem can always be overcome if there is an idea.
