In the past 10 months of 2009, Interpol has found 19 cars that were stolen in other countries and imported to Armenia within the framework of the fight against illegal circulation of means of transportation.
Since 1996, there have been a total of 499 cars stolen in foreign countries and imported to Armenia and two cars that have been stolen in Armenia and are under international persecution.
145 citizens died
Out of the car accidents registered in the 10 months of 2009, 615 took place as a result of speeding and as a result, 145 citizens lost their lives. The remaining 915 have received physical injuries at different degrees.
