Armenian judokas left for Greece and Turkey
Armenian judo teams will take part in different international tournaments during the upcoming days, informs the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia. Armenia’s judo team members will take part in the qualifying Judo Grand Prix in Samsun, Turkey. Armenia will be represented by Ferdinant Karapetyan (66kg), Arsen Ghazaryan (73kg), Andranik Chaparyan (81kg) and Zhanna Stankevich (52kg). Award foundation makes up 100 thousand dollars. The winner will receive 3000 USD award, the second place- 2000 USD, the third place- 1000 USD. The tournament will be held in Samsun from April 1-3. Armenian young judokas will take part in the European Judo Cup. Seven athletes will represent Armenia at the upcoming tournament in Athens – Shahen Abaghyan, Erik Hovhannisyan (50kg), Tigran Badalyan (60kg), Vardan Grigoryan, Harutyun Dermishyan (66kg), Harutyun Arakelyan (73kg) and Davit Nalbandyan (81kg). The European Judo Cup will be held in Athens on April 1-4.
