A civil movement called “Red Card” has started a planned action in Yerevan against the prices of electricity, gas, flour and sugar. Members of the civil movement have grouped outside the Armenian government whisling and waving red cards and a poster that read “We shall not obey.” An elderly woman supporting the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK), again showed up out of nowhere and began shouting at the participants and threw the poster onto the ground with her walking stick. This made the group whistle even louder. The incident ended with police intervention. Paylak Tevanyan, a member of the civil movement, handed to Alexander Ghazaryan, who heads the department that deals with the acceptance and discussion of citizen requests, a letter with their demands. He said the government had a week to study their demands and answer them.
