Short time ago first president of the Republic of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan cast his vote in referendum on constitutional amendments at Yerevan 9/11 polling station.

Leader of “Heritage” party Raffi Hovannisian approached the ballot box, tore the envelope with the ballot apart.

We also visited RPA Territorial organization office, where they rejected their connection with the minibuses.

CSI observer reports that electoral secrecy is not ensured in the polling station. There is a door and a window behind the polling booth and it is visible how the citizens vote. Our observer raised this question, but it is not solved yet.

The Media Center will hold discussions, press conferences and debates. The speakers will include observers, civil society and political party representatives, experts and rights defenders.

In the end, the activist reminded that the name of the square suggests that it is a symbol of freedom and independence for Armenians.

He calls attention to another important thing: diversity of opinions was not ensured during the campaign in the December 6 constitutional referendum.

Participants of the “Yes” and “No” TV project are meeting today at 2.00 to summarize the results of their 20-day meetings in Armenia’s southern and northern regions as part of the campaign in the December 6 constitutional referendum.

The campaign has already been completed, while the majority of respondents did not follow the Yes and No in the debate. Though the campaign is drawing to a close many of our respondents say they do not follow the debates of the “Yes” and “No” camps.

At 11.00, the Media Center will be holding a discussion on the analysis and observations of the referendum campaign.

In spite of unfavorable weather conditions, many people took part in the march.

“We will win, though today the weather supports ‘yes’, ‘no’ is in our hearts,” said the Armenian National Congress (HAK) lawmaker Levon Zurabyan.

During today’s rally leader of the People’s Party of Armenia (PPA) Stepan Demirchyan blamed the regime of Serzh Sargsyan for carrying out cheap demagoguery.
