Republicans want to see pension law unchanged (video)

The four non-governing forces in Armenia today met at the National Assembly to discuss the amendments to the law on the funded pension, Armen Rustamyan, a senior member of the Armenian revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun), told reporters after the meeting. “We have decided to propose changes in the pension law. The opposition quartet has suggestions concerning the law and we are going to start collection of signatures for convening an extraordinary meeting. We hope that the meeting will take place,” said Mr Arzumanyan. He added that the opposition quartet continues to cooperate contrary to all rumours. Talking to A1+, NA Vice-Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov said he could not answer questions related to the Constitutional Court’s ruling on the funded pension law. Republican lawmaker Karine Achemyan said their goal is to see the law unchanged.
