There will not be deficit of chicken eggs in Armenia at Easter, a senior representative of the Ministry of Agriculture said on Monday. Ashot Hovhannisyan, Head of Stock Breeding and Pedigree Department at the Ministry, says Armenians consume 10 million eggs during the holiday. “There will be no hike in the egg prices and we can meet the public demand. We even expect a drop in prices after the holiday,” said the specialist. Sergey Stepanyan, Chairman of the Union of Poultry Breeders added that selling prices have declined by 1-2 drams. He only fears that consumer companies might increase prices. Today, the selling price is 57-60 drams per egg.
