RA Government will be forced to act transparently
Armenian Government, joining “Open government company” international initiative, must become more transparent and reporting while providing public service at least until 2016. Journalists’ “Asparez” club head Levon Barseghyan today organized discussion on this topic, which aimed at public awareness and gathering of public suggestions. Mr. Barseghyan informed “A1+” that there have already been suggestions in RA Government, “For example offers toward Local government transparency, though they are in our present Constitution, but we don’t see. There must be previous awareness about council meetings, citizens’ participation opportunity in those sessions, if the session is not closed. Now we suggest that the Government takes responsibility of implementing those provisions.” Suggestions, according to Levon Barseghyan, must be gathered from the public until April 20-30, “How many from our suggestions will be taken, we can’t say,”- noted journalists’ “Asparez” club head.
