Today Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan rejected that he had his participation in the incident that a citizen was beaten by Justice Ministry employees. We remind that yesterday Human Rights Defender’s office spread a  recording according to which Justice Ministry employees beat a person. It is known that the incident happened earlier, so why did HRD publish it only now after the resignation of the Government? May be he wants the position of Justice Minister?: to the question Karen Andreasyan answered, “I don’t want to leave my job, I must run so much as it is set by the law, that is three years.” To the question whether he sees himself in the future Government, Ombudsman Karen Andreasyan answered, “The news of my candidacy try to distract us from more important issue. I only hope that whoever is new Prime Minister, he will be centered on one domain, on our lives, on human rights defense, and I want to thank former Prime Minister for his work.” HRD reminded that on February the Government will affirm Human Rights national program and added that by that program most of the system problems mentioned in his report will be solved, “If new Prime Minister is able to realize that project, our county will be like Switzerland.”
