Political analyst: New prime minister will be someone affiliated with authorities (video)
Political analyst Alexander Iskandaryan does not link the resignation of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan with the cooperation of the four opposition factions in parliament. “Like ordinary citizens, the opposition learnt about the premier’s resignation from TV. They have not taken any real steps to achieve the premier’s resignation,” says the expert. Mr Iskandaryan says the time for the resignation of the government headed by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan matured long ago. “Everyone saw that the Sargsyan-led government failed in many spheres,” he said adding that the prime minister was expected to resign any moment after the 2013 presidential election. Mr Iskandaryan cannot say who will replace Tigran Sargsyan as Prime Minister. “People give different names according to their preferences and desires, but one thing is clear, the new prime minister will be someone affiliated with the authorities,” he said.
